Description
Rising
fuel costs have highlighted the need for efficient energy use in
hotels, universities, rental properties, and other facilities. The HVAC
Occupancy Switch (HOS) is a low-cost
temperature
control solution for heating and air conditioning systems in situations
where energy management is desired. The HOS continually monitors
one or more rooms for occupancy. When they are determined vacant
for
a preset period of time, the HOS takes control of the system and shuts
it
off. A predetermined delay periodically re-activates the system
to maintain an adequate
comfort level.
The controller accepts input from 4 wired sensors and 8 wireless
sensors. It works with the existing hvac system and there is no
need to replace existing
equipment or thermostats. Pre-programmed vacancy and
re-activation periods can be adjusted on-site
using convenient onboard setup switches.

For installations where traditional wire runs are not possible or may
be inconvenient, we offer a wireless option consisting of RF receiver
add-on and one or more wireless motion detectors. The
receiver includes antenna and compatible interface for direct
connection to the HOS device
for plug-and-play operation.
